Introducing the Indiana Tenant Habitability Guide
Indiana Justice Project and several collaborators have created the Indiana Tenant Habitability Guide. It explains the available protections in Indiana for tenants who have habitability concerns in their home. This guidebook was made possible through a partnership with the Grassroots Maternal and Child Health Initiative at Indiana University School of Medicine. Our housing work is supported by a Catalyst for Infant Health Grant from HRSA.
IJP housing law clerk (and third year law student) Meredith Fulton is the primary author and editor of the guidebook. IJP Executive Director, Adam Mueller states, “There is a significant gap in Indiana between the right to habitable rental housing and the enforcement of that right. The Indiana Tenant Habitability Guide is meant to address this gap by providing tools and information to tenants in an accessible way.”
